The Principle Of Disc Filter:


Each disc has grooves on both sides in different directions, and the grooves on adjacent surfaces form many intersections. Intersections form a large number of cavities and irregular passages that intercept solid particles when water flows through them.


Technical Features:


1. The design without springs reduces the backwash pressure to as low as 1.2bar.
2. Each unit is equipped with a breathing valve at the top to prevent water hammer during system operation. The air entering during backwash improves the backwash effect and has an indication function to clearly determine the operating status of each unit.
3. The design of the buoyancy check valve avoids the problem of instability and easy aging of other rubber parts in the filter.
4. The filter uses a non-metallic framework design.
5. The entire system’s contact with water is made of non-metallic materials, is especially suitable for seawater and brackish water.

Selection Of Disc Filter:


The normal water production of each filtering unit depends on:

1. The quality of the inlet water;

2. The requirements of the filtration accuracy. When designing and selecting, the number of filter units can be determined by these two factors and the total water flow of the system. The quality of the inlet water is usually divided into four categories:


● Good water quality: urban tap water; well water extracted from a stable aquifer.
● Normal water quality: circulating cooling water, surface water treated by precipitation, and drainage treated by effective precipitation and fully biological treatment.
● Poor water quality: groundwater extracted from aquifer of poor quality, drainage treated by effective precipitation but without or with very little biological treatment, and surface water with a large amount of microbial reproduction.
● Very poor water quality: well water extracted from a very dirty or iron-manganese-rich well; surface water affected by floods and untreated by precipitation; drainage untreated by precipitation and biological treatment.
